Accounts and comments
Reading does not require an account. To comment, register and sign in with an email address and a website password. A public display name is generated; your email remains private. Comments are published after moderation. Keep discussions relevant and respectful, and do not disclose other people’s private information.
Your conversations
“My conversations” shows your account’s comments, moderation status and replies from the author. These records remain available when you return or use another device. Registering with an email address does not grant access to earlier anonymous comments using that address.
Reply notifications
The author may send reply notifications through an authorized Gmail account to readers who have confirmed their email and enabled notifications. Messages include the article title, the author’s reply and a link back to the site. You may turn notifications off in your account. Conversations remain available on the site when email is disconnected, unconfirmed or fails; inbox delivery is not guaranteed.
Information retained
We store your email, a password hash managed by WordPress, comments and replies, moderation state and notification preference. IP addresses and browser information accompanying comments are used for moderation, spam prevention and security. Public pages show only display names and approved comments, not email addresses.
Browser records and visitor statistics
Essential cookies support sign-in and form protection. First-party statistics use a random browser identifier for up to 30 days. Daily records of signed-in visitors, guests and page views are kept for 90 days. The server resolves the network exit IP locally and retains country or territory, region and city for private owner-only traffic summaries. Visitor IPs are not sent to external geolocation services. VPNs, proxies and mobile networks may affect these approximate locations. Statistics do not retain raw IP addresses, browsing paths or browser fingerprints. There are no third-party analytics or advertising scripts, and browser DNT preferences are respected. Owner visits and common bots are excluded. Devices, cookie removal and blockers affect the estimates; visits before and after sign-in belong to separate groups. Security rate limits retain only short-lived keyed digests.
Corrections and removal
To request a correction or removal of your comments or account information, sign in and leave a note under the relevant article identifying the comment. The owner will review it against the account that submitted it.
